Our teachers

Every Baby Swimmers teacher is committed to ensuring your little one learns to be happy, confident and safe in the water.
As well as being fully-qualified swim teachers, all Baby Swimmers teachers also go through our incredibly thorough in-house training, which can take 3 - 6 months; as well as completing a CPD every year.
And with more than 80 years’ experience between us in teaching little ones to swim, you’re in good hands!

Tracy

I’m proud to say I’m the founder of Baby Swimmers! I first started teaching children to swim way back in 1989, when I was living in America. Then 15 years ago, I took my little ones to baby swimming classes and loved them so much I decided to set up my own for others to enjoy! I’m an ASA Swimming Teacher & STA Baby and Pre-School Swimming Teacher and hold a lifesaving qualification with the STA. You’ll find me at Milestone School in Leeds on Mondays, and at Willow Tree School in Harrogate on Tuesdays.

I feel very lucky that I’ve been teaching children to swim for 30 years, and I absolutely love what I do. For me, there’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing a little one take their first swimming strokes on their own. You’ll find me in Pocklington on Saturdays and after school on Wednesdays, Stamford Bridge after school on Thursdays & Saturdays, and New Earswick on Thursdays.

I teach at the Holiday Inn on Mondays, Milestone School on Tuesdays, Bramley on Wednesdays, Penny Field School on Wednesday and Friday and Temple Moor High School on Saturday mornings.

I love having fun with the children and seeing them progress into confident happy swimmers. You can find me at the Hilton Hotel, the Forum leisure centre, Milestones School and the Highfield Hotel.

Leah

Hi, I’m Leah. I have been teaching for 5 years. I studied sport coaching at Sheffield Hallam University. I’ve been swimming ever since I was a baby! I then went on to compete with the City of Leeds squad. Im excited to share my passion and confidence with all the children! I teach on Thursdays in Bramley and Fridays at Mercure Parkway and Highfield Hotel.

Libby

 Libby
Hi everybody, my name is Libby and I’m from New Zealand and I’m one of the teachers here at Baby Swimmers. I’ve swam all my life and competed nationally and internationally for NZ. I moved to the UK at the end of 2022 to study musical theatre but knew that I wanted to start teaching swimming again. It’s the most rewarding job teaching a new generation of swimmers, to be safe and love water as much as I do. Can’t wait to meet some of you! I teach on Saturday afternoons at Temple Moor High School and Sunday afternoons at Mercure Parkway.

Charlotte

Hi, I'm Charlotte and I'm very excited to be joining the Baby Swimmers team in York. I am mum to Ayham, 3 who was also a baby swimmer from 6 months old! We both enjoyed the classes so much I jumped at the opportunity to retrain as a baby and toddler swimming instructor and join Baby Swimmers. I have a teaching background, I taught in Primary Schools in the UK and overseas for 10 years before having my little boy in 2020. I look forward to meeting all the new baby and toddlers in the pool this year!
